1/4" Ceramic Silicon Nitride Balls
Regular price $3.99Choose "Shop Pay" at checkout to pay in 4 easy interest free installments!
ACER Racing's 1/4" ceramic balls (6.350 mm ceramic balls) are made from pure silicon nitride. They measure 1/4" or 6.35mm in diameter and are from our Ceramic Nitride Pro Series material. Price is for one ball.
These 1/4" silicon nitride balls will also fit most front hubs and some bicycle headsets. Specifically they will fit Campagnolo rear hubs and bottom brackets, Shimano rear hubs and bottom brackets, Shimano headsets models M735-M736-M650-M651. The majority of rear hubs will require nine of our 1/4" silicon nitride balls on each side and bottom brackets will use eleven of our 1/4" silicon nitride balls.
Our 1/4" silicon nitride balls for bicycles have gained significant recognition in the cycling industry due to their exceptional performance and durability. These balls, made from advanced silicon nitride ceramic material, offer unique advantages over traditional steel balls, making them a preferred choice for high-performance bicycle applications and anywhere a strong, hard and lightweight ball is required.
The 1/4" size designation refers to the diameter of the silicon nitride balls, which measures approximately 6.35 millimeters. This size is specifically tailored to meet the requirements of bicycle components such as hubs, bottom brackets, and headset bearings.
One of the key benefits of using 1/4" silicon nitride ceramic balls in bicycles is their reduced weight compared to steel balls. The lightweight nature of the silicon nitride material helps to reduce the overall weight of the bicycle, contributing to improved speed, maneuverability, and responsiveness. This weight reduction is particularly advantageous in competitive cycling, where every gram matters.
Moreover, the silicon nitride balls offer exceptional hardness and superior wear resistance. This ensures prolonged service life and reduced maintenance requirements, making them an excellent choice for demanding cycling conditions. The durability of these balls allows cyclists to ride with confidence, knowing that their components can withstand the rigors of off-road trails, rough terrains, and high-speed descents.
Additionally, the silicon nitride material exhibits excellent corrosion resistance. This is particularly beneficial for cyclists who ride in wet or humid environments, as the balls can withstand exposure to moisture without compromising their performance. The corrosion resistance ensures smooth rotation, reduces the risk of rust formation, and extends the lifespan of the bicycle components.
Furthermore, our silicon nitride balls have a very low coefficient of friction, resulting in reduced energy loss and improved efficiency. This translates to enhanced power transfer, allowing cyclists to pedal more efficiently and effectively. The reduced friction also contributes to smoother operation, reduced wear on surrounding components, and a more enjoyable riding experience.
ACER Racing's 1/4" silicon nitride balls for bicycles offer exceptional performance, durability, and weight reduction advantages. Their advanced ceramic construction, reduced weight, wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and low friction make them a preferred choice for cyclists looking to enhance their performance and reliability. Whether used in road bikes, mountain bikes, or other cycling disciplines, these balls continue to prove their worth by delivering optimal performance and reliability on the road or trail.

Welcome to ACER Racing's new line of Ceramic Ball Bearings made for competition use in high performance RC car engines. These are from our Ceramic Nitride Pro Series line of world champion bearings.
These 14x25.8x6mm ceramic bearings feature our diamond polished Silicon Nitride ceramic balls plus a super high speed PEEK inner cage to withstand the heat and stress of your engine. Proprietary internal tolerances have been incorporated into this ceramic bearing as well. Price is for one ball bearing.
New generation PEEK polymer was chosen for the cages because of its superior combination of strength and flexibility, high operating temperatures, and high chemical and wear resistance. The design of the cage and material used are of paramount importance for the performance of the cage as well as for the operational reliability of the bearing itself.
Bearing cages are mechanically stressed by friction, strain and inertia. They may also be subjected to the chemical action of certain lubricants, lubricant additives or products of their ageing or organic solvents. The relative importance of these considerations can be affected by other operational parameters such as elevated temperatures, shock loads, vibrations or combinations of these and other conditions. The materials from which the bearing components are made determine to a large extent the performance and reliability of the rolling bearings. This why ACER Racing has used PEEK cages for our ceramic engine bearings.
PEEK cages have an excellent combination of strength and elasticity. The good sliding properties of the polymer on lubricated steel surfaces and the smoothness of the cage surfaces in contact with the rolling elements produce the lowest amount of friction so that heat generation and wear in the bearing are at a minimum. The low density of the material means that the inertia of the cage is small contributing to greater speed. The excellent running properties of polymer cages under lubricant starvation conditions permit continued operation of the bearing for some time without risk of seizure and secondary damage.
Our PEEK bearing cages show no signs of aging by temperature and oil additives up to +200C (392F).
Price is for one ceramic engine bearing.
UPDATE: ACER Racer Shasa Lackner received his trophy as "Swiss Junior Champion" in October using ACER Racing ceramic engine bearings in his Max Power engine. Shasa won the main final by nearly 2 laps, and set a new lap record of 14.0 seconds and his ACER Racing ceramic engine bearings worked perfectly for the entire weekend.

BLACK TITANIUM:
We do offer black titanium lug bolts for Porsche. We use a Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) process which is much better and more durable than simply anodizing titanium. PVD is a complex process which vaporizes a number of metals and then binds them on the surface in layers in a heated vacuum. This is the same process used on the beautiful black finish of high end black luxury watches such as Rolex and Panerai watches. We are always asked if the natural titanium finish will look good against a darker wheel and our answer is yes. Natural titanium pops very nicely against a dark wheel and you will be showing off the beautiful titanium you paid for so it would make sense to go natural but many customers still prefer a black titanium so we offer the best solution with the PVD Black Titanium finish.

Porsche Cayenne Titanium Lug Bolts

This is a complete 20 piece Titanium Lug Bolt Set for the Porsche Cayenne. Manufactured from aerospace grade 6AL4V Titanium, these titanium lug bolts will not corrode or rust and offer a significant weight savings on your Porsche while giving a very sporty and aggressive look. Rolled threads for superior fatigue resistance. Available in natural 6AL4V Titanium color. M14x1.5x34 (shaft length is 34mm measured from under the ball seat to the end of the threads, length under flange is 49mm)
Also available with lock bolts and a special titanium lock key. Torx version uses a standard Torx 80 socket (not included).
SPACERS:
Note: these are for original Porsche wheels with no spacers. If you are using aftermarket wheels or spacers please contact us for proper fitment. We do sell longer length versions under a different listing. Please note, the Cayenne uses a 34mm shaft which is already 5mm longer than the standard 29mm 911 shaft lug bolt so please adjust accordingly. For example if you are planning on adding 10mm spacers on your Cayenne you would need 44mm lug bolts (34mm+10mm) so you would need our lug bolts for 15mm spacers not the ones for 10mm spacers.
