Get the Competitive Edge by Skating with the 608 Bearing
At ACER Racing we're dedicated to offering our customers the ball bearings they need to race like champions. While we're perhaps best known for our R/C racing ball bearings, including the 5x10x4mm bearing, made of aerospace grade silicon nitride that renders it nearly shatter-proof. However, after years of providing top bearings to ambitious R/C racers, we've decided to branch out into the worlds of cycling and even skateboarding.
When designing our bearings for skateboarding, we look to reduce friction as much as possible with hard, durable, and expertly crafted products like the 608 bearing. Complete with dual PTFE seals and ACER Racing's signature HSR inner cage technology, the 608 – also known as the 8x22x7mm bearing – can be used in a number of skating situations that require speed, agility and reliability. The bearing has an impressive ABEC 7 rating and comes with synthetic cream lubrication, to ensure smooth, slick skating, every time.
Not surprisingly, the 608 bearing is a perennial favorite among skaters. It's a superlite bearing that has even been put to the test by World Champion speed skater Peter Doucet – with stellar results. Doucet was actually able to reduce his lap speed from 10.3 seconds to 9.98 seconds – a dramatic improvement by any standard.
Simply put, if you want to race, skate or cycle with the pros, you can't afford to use anything less than the fastest, hardest balls in the industry. A quality ball bearing maximizes tire rotation, and increases maximum speed – with the right bearing, it you'll feel like you're moving on ice!
